There are reliable solutions to join the FMK railing to other rail systems.

1. A transition to the W-profile L=4500 mm
Our lower railings can be joined with the W profile rail. The transition is achieved by means of welding our profiles onto the backside of the W-profile, the systems overlap each other by 1000 mm.
The construction is described more in detail on our working drawing ”Transition W-profil
With this construction the FMK rail can also be joined to collision protectors and energy absorbing endings.

2. A transition to the Kolsva beam L=2200 mm
The transition construction to the Kolsva beam is achieved principally in the same way as above. This construction is described more in detail on our working drawing ”Transition to Kolsva beam”.
Fastening plates
There are different kinds of fastening plates to enable the mounting of our profiles onto:

3. Fastening plate with handles – to be tied to balusters
Useful when changing lower rails on older bridge railings with solid balusters.

4. Fastening plate without handles to be bolted straight into the material behind.
Useful for bridge railings with L poles as well as walls.
Concrete walls – the profiles are very well suited to be mounted on walls in e.g. parking garages.
Concrete barrier railings – the profiles can be mounted on the sides of the concrete barrier railings and we can also provide a joining construction to fasten our profiles to the gable of these railings.
